Manchester United are to bring their stars to Edinburgh when they take on Lyon at Murrayfield in July.
Erik Ten Haag’s side will face the Ligue 1 team in a friendly on July 19 as part of their preparations for the new season.
United are expected to bring a host of stars that could include Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scotland star Scott McTominay for the occasion. The English Premier League giants will be travelling to Scotland just days before embarking on their tour of America.
Ten Haag and his players will cross the Atlantic for a match against Arsenal in New York on July 22. They will then cross the country to play a friendly against Wrexham, owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, three days later.
The tour will continue with a match against Real Madrid in Houston before concluding in Las Vegas with another showpiece game against Borussia Dortmund.
Lyon, currently fifth in the French top flight, currently have Alexander Lacazette, former Celtic forward Moussa Dembele and veteran German defender Jerome Boateng on the books.
The team is currently managed by former Manchester United defender, and World Cup and Euros winner Laurent Blanc.
