Scotland defender Kirsty Smith aims to continue the recent positivity around the team by sealing top spot in their qualifying group.
Pedro Martinez Losa’s side had already clinched a place in the Euro 2025 play-offs before winning 2-0 in Slovakia on Friday evening.
But they can boost their chances of going into this Friday’s play-off draw as one of the seeded teams when they host Serbia at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Tuesday.
Both sides are level on 13 points but Scotland lead Group B2 on goal difference after scoring 12 goals and conceding just one in four matches since a goalless draw with Serbia in their opening game.
Scotland will also seal promotion to League A if they avoid defeat in Maryhill and Smith has her sights set on proving they are on the right track.
The West Ham player said: “We had a really good result and all our games have been going as well as they could right now.
“We have had really good, positive performances. We are trying to build as a team and you can see how much we have grown.
“We really want to win the group. We have had really good results before now and that’s the main aim.
“It will obviously be a tough test, we know that from when we played them previously. But that’s the main aim for us.”
Martinez Losa said: “We want to be top of the group. Arriving to the play-offs winning the last game, or being unbeaten, would of course give us the feeling of being stronger than the opponent.”
Scotland stayed on track for top spot after overcoming a 45-minute delay in the second half of their game in Slovakia.
The referee initially suspended play after a torrential downpour made visibility difficult for the players.
And the delay was extended amid lightning strikes while the players were inside the dressing rooms.
Smith said: “That was a bizarre one. It shows how professional we are as a team to come through that because I don’t think I’ve ever seen weather like that. Even in Scotland.
“Honestly, I don’t think I have ever experienced something like that. Again, it’s such a professional performance coming through it and then coming back out and giving the performance we did.”
