Andy Murray will return to the scene of his first major title when the US Open gets under way on Monday.
Murray’s glory in 2012 came just weeks after he claimed the gold medal at the London Olympics, so there was plenty to celebrate.
After travelling home from New York, the Scot was given a rousing reception from fans in Dunblane, where a golden post box was erected in his honour.
In pictures, here’s a look back at the day the town celebrated its local hero.
