Hibernian have agreed a deal with Dundee United for midfielder Dylan Levitt and the Wales international is close to being confirmed as Lee Johnson’s sixth summer signing.
Levitt is leaving Tannadice after United’s relegation to the Championship and Hibernian have moved to add the midfielder to manager Lee Johnson’s squad for the season ahead.
Talks between the clubs have settled on a figure that will allow the 22-year-old to complete his move to Easter Road before Hibs head out to Marbella for their pre-season training camp on Thursday.
Levitt, a product of Manchester United’s youth academy, initially moved to Dundee United on loan in 2021 and enjoyed a successful season at Tannadice, prompting the club to seal a permanent deal.
However, the Welshman’s second season didn’t hit the same heights as United struggled throughout and were ultimately relegated form the top flight.
The midfielder, who has 13 caps for his country, now looks to be targeting a place in Johnson’s side as Hibs look to build on a fifth-placed finish last year, and progress in Europe.
Hibs will be back in competitive action on July 27 when they face Vikingur Gota of the Faroe Islands or Andorran side Inter Club d’Escaldes in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
