The 1872 Cup clash between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby on December 27 has been postponed.

The decision was made after four positive Covid-19 tests were returned within the Warriors squad.

The squad were tested and 20 players forced to self-isolate following last weekend’s game against Exeter Chiefs, who later announced a coronavirus outbreak within their squad.

Warriors’ Champions Cup match with Lyon this weekend has already been cancelled – with Glasgow set to forfeit the match 28-0.

Further tests have been carried out at Scotstoun as a result, with the club awaiting the results.
