The Dundee vs Rangers game has been delayed 45 minutes amid heavy traffic in the area.

The Premiership clash, which was due to start at 7.45pm on Wednesday, will now kick-off at 8.30pm.

Philippe Clement is taking his side to Dens Park looking to keep his 100% league record in tact following Sunday’s dramatic late win over Hearts.

But they face an in-form Dundee team who sit fifth in the Premiership after their 2-0 win at Livingston on Saturday and are undefeated in their last four games.

Rangers thanked their travelling support as they announced the delay.

A statement released on Twitter said: “Tonight’s match at Dens Park will kick-off at 20:30 following severe traffic congestion in and around Dundee.

“Rangers thank our supporters for their patience, understanding and what will undoubtedly be their fantastic backing this evening.”

Dundee wrote: “Due to severe traffic disruption tonight’s kick-off has been delayed and will now kick-off at 8.30pm.”

Rangers currently sit five points behind league leaders Celtic who St Mirren in Glasgow.
