A fire alarm which was set off after a huge pyrotechnic display at the Premiership clash between Dundee and Rangers saw the match halted.

The match was halted with just two minutes on the clock after supporters in the Bob Shankly stand of the Dens Park pitch set off the pyrotechnics.

Referee Kevin Clancy was advised by police to call a halt to the game while safety assessments were carried out around the stadium.

Players on both sides were taken off of the field for around ten minutes before the already delayed game resumed.

Kick off of the match had already been put back 45 minutes to 8.30pm due to severe travel disruption in and around Dundee delaying the arrival of the Rangers team bus.
