Teenage defender Kerr Smith has completed a move from Dundee United to Aston Villa.
The 17-year-old leaves Tannadice for the English Premier League side after impressing over the last 11 months with the Tangerines.
Smith made his debut for United at Ibrox last February and has gone on to make 12 first team appearances since, including being the youngest player to start in a Dundee derby. He also received gus first call-up to the Scotland Under-19 squad this season.
The centre-back had been tracked by English clubs for some time, and previously had time training with Manchester United.
Villa have now agreed a deal with United and Smith, with the Premiership side receiving an undisclosed fee.
In a statement on the United website, a spokesperson said: “Everyone at Dundee United would like to extend our congratulations to Kerr and wish him all the best for the future, and we will follow his career with pride.
“Kerr leaves as a shining example of the opportunity and development available for our young terrors.”
