Dundee boss Gary Bowyer has been named the Scottish Championship Manager of the Month for March.
The Dens Park club are currently in second place in the league but only a point behind the leaders and with a game in hand.
They picked up seven points from three games in March before also beginning April in style with a 7-0 victory over Hamilton at the weekend.
Sponsors Glen’s Vodka revealed Bowyer’s second prize of the season that comes following wins over Cove Rangers and Ayr United and an away draw with Partick Thistle.
Queen’s Park currently leads the way but with Dundee, who were relegated from the Premiership last season, having an extra game to play they will now be considered favourites for promotion.
Dundee have recorded 15 wins, eight draws and seven defeats in their 30 matches played so far this season.
Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said: “As one of the favourites for the title, there is a lot of pressure on Dundee this season – especially as there is, once again, a really competitive race for top spot and the play-off positions in the division.
“Against that background, Gary and his coaching staff have maintained their promotion challenge as he becomes only the second manager this season to pick up two Scottish Championship Glen’s Manager of the Month awards.
“My congratulations go to Gary, his coaching staff and everyone involved at Dens Park for another strong set of results at this important stage of the season.”
Gary Bowyer, Manager, Dundee FC, said: “It’s recognition of the hard work that has gone in by the staff and the players.
“We all know how tough this division is and it’s a credit to everyone that we have managed to put three good results together consecutively.”
