Dundee have been awarded a 3-0 win for their league cup game against Ross County after several positive Covid tests at the Highland club.
The group C fixture was due to be played at the Global Energy Stadium on Sunday and becomes County’s second forfeited game, and therefore second 3-0 defeat, of the competition.
Kilmarnock also had their 2-0 win over East Kilbride overturned to a 3-0 defeat after playing an ineligible player.
Ross County informed the SPFL that they would not be able to fulfil the fixture after the positive tests meant they didn’t have enough players.
Dundee have been awarded the three points as a result.
The result will put the Tayside club on six points and top of the group that also includes Forfar, Brora Rangers and Montrose.
An SPFL spokesman said: “Consistent with previous announcements in respect of similar issues in the group stage of this competition, any team unable or unwilling to field a team in a Premier Sports Cup Round 1 group stage tie, will forfeit the match on the basis of a 3-0 defeat.
“Accordingly, Dundee have been awarded a 3-0 win in the tie.
“We wish the affected players and staff at Ross County all the very best in their recovery and will continue to liaise with the club in the coming days, ahead of their next scheduled Premier Sports Cup match against Brora Rangers on Wednesday, July 21.”
