Dundee have announced the signing of Partick Thistle winger Scott Tiffoney when his contract with the Firhill side ends this weekend.
Tiffoney played a major role in Thistle’s bid for promotion through the play-offs as the Glasgow side reached the final, only to suffer agonising defeat on penalties in the final.
He’ll now make the switch to Dens Park and become part of Tony Docherty’s squad for the Premiership campaign next season.
“I am thrilled that Scott will be joining the club,” new Dundee manager Docherty said. “He is a player that I have monitored and admired for a long time and is a player that will get the fans off their seats.
“When he has the ball, he can make things happen, he can create chances for others, and he can create opportunities for himself.
“He has a tremendous work ethic and wants to improve as a player.
“He is committed to the club and will be moving up here and I’m really excited about having him at the club.”
Tiffoney follows Joe Shaughnessy in moving to the club for next season, with the centre-back joining last week after leaving St Mirren.
The Dark Blues have already announced several departures from their Championship-winning team.
Paul McGowan, Alex Jakubiak, Jordan Marshall, Paul McMullan, Luke Strachan and Cillian Sheridan were not offered new contracts and goalkeeper Ian Lawlor has joined Doncaster.
