Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic is “expected to leave” the club this summer with the English Premier League a potential destination.
The news was revealed by respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specialises in football transfers, on Monday.
Juranovic has been one of Ange Postecoglou’s best signings during his first season in Glasgow and his departure would be seen as a blow to their preparations for next season.
The 26-year-old Croatia defender has quickly became a favourite of the Celtic support during his first 12 months in Glasgow.
As well as helping the Hoops to a Premiership and League Cup double the versatile full-back has also nailed down a place in the Croatia side ahead of the World Cup.
And, according to Romano, that form has attracted interest from the English Premier League and several other clubs throughout the continent.
Tweeting the news to his nine million followers he said: “Croatian national team right back Josip Juranovic is expected to leave Celtic FC this summer as many clubs are following him.
“Juranovic is attracting interests from Premier League clubs too after great season for club and country.”
Juranovic made 32 appearances, playing at both right and left-back, and scored five goals for the Premiership champions after joining from Polish side Legia Warsaw last summer.
He is contracted to the Parkhead side until 2026 so a significant transfer fee will be expected before Celtic entertain any proposals.
