Bowlers Alex Marshall and Paul Foster have picked up Scotland’s 13th and 14th bronze medals so far at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The pair beat out the Northern Ireland team in the men’s pairs for lawn bowls tournament by 25-5 on Tuesday.
The Scots were knocked out of the running for gold or silver on Monday, beaten 19-13 by English duo Sam Tolchard and Jamie Walker.
“Tattie” Marshall now boasts seven Commonwealth medals for lawn bowls, while Foster is close behind with six to his name.
Sportscotland director of high performance, Mike Whittingham, said: ‘’What a win for Alex Marshall and Paul Foster who have won Bronze in the Men’s Pairs, taking home the first Scottish Lawn Bowls medal of the games.
“They played an outstanding game and secured a substantial win against Northern Ireland. Alex Marshall now has seven Commonwealth Games medals to his name, a true great of the game.’’
