St Mirren have signed up defender Charles Dunne on a new one-year contract, the club has confirmed.
The defender was at the end of his current deal in Paisley and manager Stephen Robinson had previously said he was resigned to losing Dunne to another club.
Contract talks with the 30-year-old proved successful though, and he will now be part of Robinson’s side next season as the team looks to build on a memorable top-six finish.
Dunnne said: “I’m buzzing to be back with the boys and the manager.
“I’ve really enjoyed it at St Mirren. We have a great dressing room with good people at the club so I’m over the moon.”
Manager Stephen Robinson added: “We’re delighted to have Charles with us for another year.
“We know what he brings to the team. He’s experienced, left-sided, quick, strong and he’s a big personality within the dressing room.”
