Ange Postecoglou has been named the Scottish Premiership’s manager of the month for February.
The Australian took Celtic to the top of the league with a 3-0 victory over Rangers on the second day of the month.
The club now sits three points clear of their city-rivals after four wins and a draw from their five league games played in February, scoring 15 goals and only conceding four.
They also qualified for the next round of the Scottish Cup with a 4-0 victory over Raith Rovers.
Postecoglou has now earned three of the accolades this season, having also been named as the Glen’s Premiership Manager of the Month for October and January.
Speaking after receiving the award he said: “We are delighted again to receive this award – but once again we receive it as a group. It is something which reflects our real collective effort in delivering positive performances and results for our fans.
“We have been able to find some real consistency again across the past month, being patient in games against tough opponents and trusting ourselves through our play to reach our goals, something I have been really pleased with and something we will strive to continue.”
Celtic play Livingston at Almondvale on Sunday when they will look to at least maintain their three-point lead at the top of the table, depending on the result between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox on Saturday.
