Celtic and Rangers have named their teams for the Old Firm derby and Connor Goldson is not in the squad for the visitors.

The influential defender has been ruled out through injury and John Souttar comes in to the team to start as Michael Beale looks to give his side a boost with a win in Glasgow’s east end.

There are no surprises in the Celtic team with manager Ange Postecoglou hoping his side make the most of home advantage to stretch their lead at the top of the table.

Celtic start with Joe Hart in goal behind a back line of Greg Taylor, Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston.

Captain Callum McGregor is joined in midfield by Aaron Mooy and Matt O’Riley. Jota and Daizen Maeda start either side of Kyogo Furuhashi in attack.

The Celtic substitutes are: Scott Bain, Alexandro Bernabei, Rocco Vata, Tomoki Iwata, Yuki Kobayashi, Stephen Welsh, David Turnbull, Sead Haksabanovic and Oh Hyeon-Gyu.

Rangers have Allan McGregor in goals, while Borna Barisic, John Souttar, Ben Davies and James Tavernier form a back four.

Ryan Jack and Nicolas Raskin anchor the midfield, with Ryan Kent, Malik Tillman and Todd Cantwell playing in support of striker Alfredo Morelos.

On the bench for Rangers are Jon McLaughlin, Ridvan Yilmaz, John Lundstram, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, Scott Wright, Ianis Hagi, Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala.

The match referee at Celtic Park is Kevin Clancy, assisted by David McGeachie and Ross Macleod. John Beaton is the fourth official at Celtic Park.

VAR duties will be carried out by Nick Walsh, with Daniel McFarlane assisting with the video review.

The sides go into the match with Celtic nine points clear at the top of the Premiership table.
