Rangers have signed Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks on pre-contracts ahead of the 2016/17 season.

The pair, who are both 21-years old, join on four year deals which will see them stay at Ibrox until at least summer 2020.

Windass and Crook both travelled to Scotland on Wednesday for medicals which they subsequently passed.

Midfielder Windass broke into the English side in 2013 and has since featured 76 times while versatile Crooks, who most commonly plays in defensive midfield, made his loan move to Accrington Stanley permanent last season.

Rangers will have to pay compensation to sign the duo in the summer but no contact has been made with regards to a fee. Clubs must pay compensation for players under the age 23 who move cross-border.

It's comes just days after Rangers secured the signings of Harry Forrester and goalkeeper Maciej Gostomski in the January transfer window.
