Google MapsA man has been extradited from Brazil to Scotland on an international arrest warrant in connection with serious organised crime offences.
James White, from Glasgow, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
The 44-year-old was one of five men wanted in 2019 as part of a Police Scotland investigation.
European arrest warrants were issued as detectives conducted Operation Escalade, which investigated one of Scotland’s “top-tier” serious organised crime groups.
A Police Scotland spokesperson on Monday said: “We can confirm that a 44-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, August 8, 2022 in connection with serious organised crime offences.
“He had been extradited from Brazil on an international arrest warrant.”
