Scotland records 422 new cases of Covid-19 but no deaths

A total of 2,385,709 people have received the first dose of the vaccination and 312,320 have received their second dose.

There have been 422 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, the Scottish Government has confirmed.

However, there have been no new deaths from people who have tested positive for the virus.

This takes the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic in Scotland to 217,127.

The death toll of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days stands at 7584 .

The daily test positivity rate is 2.6% and statistics also revealed a total of 264 people are being treated in hospital, with 22 in ICU.

As of Saturday, 2,385,709 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 312,320 have received their second dose.
