The Scottish Government has released its latest figures on Covid-19.

There have now been no deaths reported from coronavirus in Scotland in the last 72 hours.

The Scottish Government has confirmed seven new cases of Covid-19 in the country in the last day.

The total number of people who have died after testing positive for the virus remains at 2490.

However, adding suspected cases, the death toll stands at 4175.

The number of patients in hospital with either confirmed or suspected coronavirus has been recorded at 619 – six of whom are in intensive care.

First Minister Nicola Sturgen tweeted: “Positive cases in past 24 hrs back in single figures (7) after yesterday’s increase.

“Also, another day with no registered deaths amongst people who had tested positive.

“Progress still good – but with significant easing of lockdown next week, we all must take care.”
