A further three deaths and 7561 new cases of Covid have been recorded in Scotland overnight, according to official figures.
A total of 38,423 new tests reported results, with 23.2% testing positive – down from the 25.1% reported the previous day.
The figures included a note advising of delays between tests being taken and results being reported, but that Public Health Scotland is “continuing to monitor the situation”.
It was also highlighted that register offices are “now generally closed at weekends” in regards to the three deaths recorded.
A total of 1382 people were in hospital on Saturday with recently confirmed Covid-19, an increase of 20 overnight. Out of those, 55 patients are in intensive care.
The lab-confirmed death toll of those who tested positive within the previous 28 days currently stands at 9934. However, figures including suspected Covid-19 deaths recorded by National Records of Scotland suggest the most up-to-date total is now at least 12,470.
It was also confirmed that a total of 4,391,558 people in Scotland have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, 4,045,667 their second, and 3,101,096 their third dose or booster.
