Four men charged over hare coursing across Scotland

Four men have been charged in connection with hare coursing at locations across Scotland.

Police began investigating after reports of hare coursing activity in the Scottish Borders, Midlothian, East Lothian and Stirlingshire in March and April.

Officers traced a car on April 29 with four people and six dogs inside on Station Road, Kippen, Stirlingshire.

Four men – aged 28, 29, 44 and 51 – have now been charged in connection with wildlife crime offences.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
