Two drivers reportedly broke lockdown rules to travel from Scotland to Wales to “see friends”.

Police in Anglesey claim the pair were also “driving without insurance”.

Scots are currently prohibited from travelling out of their council area for a non-essential reason. A travel ban is also in place between Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Officers said the cars were pulled over on Friday.

Posting on Twitter, NWP Anglesey said: “Two drivers reported in Valley for driving without insurance.

“Also reported for breaching Covid travel restrictions having travelled from Scotland to see friends.”
