Coronavirus: 11 deaths and 1307 new cases reported

The death toll now stands at 7859 in Scotland, with the test positivity rate now at 6.1%.

A further 11 people have died and 1307 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, according to new figures.

It brings the death toll under the daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 7859.

The test positivity rate currently stands at 6.1%, down slightly from 6.4% the previous day.

On Saturday, figures released by the Scottish Government showed that 478 people were in hospital with the virus, with 60 of those in intensive care.

There have now been 3,994,883 people who have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination, with 3,064,441 having received their second dose.
