FMQs: Deputy FM faces grilling after Matheson resignation poll

The deputy first minister will take questions just a day after a poll for STV News showed a majority of Scots think the health secretary should resign.

Humza Yousaf’s deputy Shona Robison is being grilled by MSPs as the row over whether the health secretary should quit continues.

An Ipsos poll for STV News on Wednesday found 61% of the Scottish public think Michael Matheson should resign.

The Scottish Conservatives have continued to call for him to go after he racked up an £11,000 roaming bill while on holiday in Morocco.

The Tories have accused the health secretary of misleading the public after he admitted to knowing the truth behind the charge days before he told the public.

He said the data usage on his iPad was due to his sons watching football.

An investigation by Holyrood officials into Matheson’s conduct is ongoing.
