Woman's 'unexplained' death sparks investigation

The death of a woman found unresponsive within a house in Dundee is being treated as unexplained.

Emergency services were called to an address in the Balunie Avenue area at around 3.45pm on Monday following reports that a woman was found unresponsive.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing and the death is being treated as unexplained.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.45pm on Monday, February 26, 2024, police were called to a report of a woman found unresponsive within a property in Balunie Avenue, Dundee.

“Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
