A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash at a junction which killed a motorcyclist in November.

Jonathan Marsh, 48, from Brechin, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to the B961, at the junction with Panmure Road, in Monikie on November 22.

Police received reports that his black BMW R1150 GS motorcycle collided with an MG5 electric vehicle at around 8.50pm that night.

He had been on his way home from a biker club social event when the collision occurred.

Police confirmed on Wednesday that a 44-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the incident and that a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
