Police who were searching for a woman who had gone missing from her home in Aberdeenshire say she has been found “safe and well”.

Anne Benzie had last seen in the Turriff area around 9.30am on Wednesday, July 10.

But later on that evening, Police Scotland said its officers had traced the pensioner.

“Anne Benzie, reported missing from the Turiff area, has been traced safe and well,” the force said.

“Thank you to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal.”
