A woman has been left in hospital after a crash closed the A92 in both directions.
Emergency services were called to the road at Newport-on-Tay at around 12.25am on Monday, after a two-car crash.
A 21-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.
Officers confirmed that an investigation is ongoing to trace the driver of the other car.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25am on Monday, September 18, 2023, we were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A92 at Newport-on-Tay.
“Emergency services attended and a 21-year-old woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, for treatment.
“The road was closed to allow for clean-up and reopened around 6am.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of one of the cars and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
