The unexplained death of a woman which was being investigated by police in Aberdeenshire is not believed to be suspicious.
Emergency services were called to the property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, at around 3.45pm on Monday.
The 56-year-old’s death was being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries, but police confirmed on Friday that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a 56-year-old woman was found at a property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, around 3.45pm on Monday, June 12, 2023.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the death, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
