Two female spaniels stolen from a property in Angus have been traced safe and well.

Police are still appealing for information following the break-in, which happened in Glen Prosen, north of Kirriemuir, between 2pm and 5pm on Thursday.

Police say several other items were stolen from the rural property including a leaf-blower and tools.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A white van, possibly a Transit or similar, with noticeable rust spots was seen in the area around the time of the theft.

“Unfortunately we do not have any further confirmed details at this time, but will update this post with more information as it becomes available to us.

“If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 2392 of 19th August.”
