A teenager has been arrested and charged after “human remains” were recovered from a garden in Aberdeen.
Officers confirmed an investigation was launched after a theft from St Nicholas Church, in the city’s Union Street.
It is believed a human skull was recovered from a garden in Heathryfold Place.
A 17-year-old male youth was arrested and charged in connection on Wednesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following theft from a church in Union Street, Aberdeen, a 17-year-old man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, May 3.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
