A teenage motorcyclist is in hospital with “serious injuries” following a crash near Kinross.

Emergency services were called to reports of a serious crash on the B966 between Kinross and Kelty at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, March 6.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist riding a blue Yamaha YZF R125 was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee to be treated for serious injuries after the collision at the junction with the B9097 at Gairney Bridge.

The two occupants of a grey Audi A6 were not injured.

The road was closed overnight to be investigated and re-opened around 4am on Thursday.

Sergeant Steve Livesey said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, that could assist with our enquiries are asked to get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3452 of Wednesday, March 6.
