Teen in hospital after 'losing control' of Mercedes and crashing into building

Emergency services were called to the A922, in Kinross, at around 11.20pm on Wednesday.

A teenager is in hospital after crashing his Mercedes into a building in Kinross.

The 18-year-old was driving a white Mercedes A250 northbound on the A922 South Street towards the A91 Stirling Road around 11.20pm on April 10 when he “lost control” at a mini roundabout.

The car subsequently crashed into a building.

The driver was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

His current condition is unknown at this time.

Inspector Michelle Burns from Road Policing said: “We have already spoken to a number of witnesses and would continue to urge anyone with information to come forward in order for us to establish a full picture of the circumstances.

“In particular we would ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area from Wednesday night to please make us aware of anything which could be of significance to our enquiries.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3948 of Wednesday, April 10, 2024.”
