Police launch appeal after roof collapses in ‘unexplained’ fire at building on Albyn Place in Aberdeen Fubar News

An appeal has been launched after the roof of a building collapsed in a fire on an Aberdeen street.

More than 30 firefighters were called to the scene on Albyn Place around 9.30pm on Tuesday evening.

The fire, which broke out near to the junction with Prince Arthur Street, is being treated as unexplained and enquiries into the cause remain ongoing.

Detective constable Emily Reid said: “Given that Albyn Place is often busy with traffic and a number of pedestrians, we are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday night to please come forward, as you may be able to assist our enquiries.

“We are also keen to hear from any motorists who may have dashcam footage.

“If you have any information, please call police on 101, quoting incident 4114 of September 12, 2023.”
