The baggage system is being revamped as part of a £5m project at the terminal.

Airport bosses said staff would be on hand to to advise passengers.

A spokesman for Aberdeen International Airport said: “This is a huge investment in our terminal which will deliver a better service for our passengers once complete.

“This will cause some minor disruption to passengers travelling with hold luggage at the weekend and we ask they arrive in plenty of time at the terminal to check in bags.

“We have arranged support to assist passengers in our check-in queues in order to minimise the impact on our passengers as possible.”
