Nine-year-old girl airlifted to hospital after crash

A nine-year-old girl was airflifted to hospital after a crash in Moray.

The three-vehicle smash took place on the A941 between Craigellachie and Dufftown around 5.30pm on Sunday.

A coastguard helicopter took the girl to the Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh, where she was being treated for “serious” injuries.

Three other people were taken to hospital while the road was closed overnight before reopening around 6.40am on Monday.
