A man in an electric wheelchair has been punched during an attack in Perth.

The victim was approached by two men who verbally abused with a derogatory comment about his disability before one of them struck him in the face.

The man suffered a serious facial injury as a result of the assault which took place at Florence Place around 8pm on Wednesday. 

Police are now looking to hunt the attacker.

One man was described as about 5ft10 – 6ft, in his mid 40s and with short blond hair. 

A police spokesperson said: “We are following a positive line of enquiry, but would still like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed all or part of this incident, or who has any other relevant information.”
