A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack in Aberdeenshire.

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident in Scott Court, Huntly, at around 4.45pm on Friday.

He remains at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a serious but stable condition.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection.

He is expected to appear in court on Monday.

A police spokesperson said: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder, which took place in the Scott Court area of Huntly at around 4.45pm on Friday, June 26. 

“He is expected to appear in court on Monday, June 29.”
