A man has been charged in connection with a spate of break-ins and thefts in Aberdeen.

The incidents, all at commercial premises in the Rousay Drive and Greenfern Road areas, took place between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve.

A 37-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection following an investigation.

He appears at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 2.

Constable Scott Coutts of West End Community Policing Team said: “We appreciate the impact theft has on the local community and we will continue to tackle these crimes.

“I would like to thank business owners and members of the local community for their co-operation and assistance during our investigation.

“If anyone has concerns regarding criminality in their area, please contact us by calling 101 or speak to any police officer.”
