An investigation has been launched after a cargo ship ran aground on approach to Aberdeen harbour.

NorthLink’s MV Arrow freight vessel got stuck partially out of the water in the fairway channel on Thursday morning.

The ship was coming towards the end of her overnight sailing south from Lerwick when the incident happened at around 7.30am.

We are working with Aberdeen Harbour Board, the vessel’s owners and the relevant authorities to conduct a full investigation.”</p><div class=
