Five drug dealers have been jailed for their part in an organised crime gang operating out of Aberdeen.

Ramel Blake-Appleby, Kym Martin, Eugene Asiedu, Brian Noble and Michelle Quinn were jailed for a total of 22 years at Glasgow’s High Court on Friday.

The five were found guilty of using a county line tactic to supply drugs within the Aberdeen area.

It comes after drugs with a street value of over £350,000 were seized as well as over £19,000 cash.

Detective constable Ed Casey said : “This sentencing underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Drug supply causes so much misery in our communities and we remain committed to identifying county line activity in our local communities.

“We need the public to keep passing on information so we can disrupt these criminals.

“If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs, or anyone who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, they are urged to contact Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
