Firefighters called to tackle tenement building blaze

Emergency crews were alerted to the fire inside the building in Dundee at around 8.20pm on Tuesday.

Firefighters have been called to tackle a blaze at a tenement building in Dundee. 

Emergency crews were alerted to the fire inside the building on Dens Road at around 8.20pm on Tuesday. 

Four appliances were called to the scene.

Police officers were also called out to assist with the blaze and the road was closed in both directions between Mains Road and North Isla Street junctions.

A spokeswoman for SFRS said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.18pm on Tuesday 26 May to a report of a fire in a tenement building in Dens Road, Dundee.

“Operations Control immediately mobilised four fire appliances to the scene, crews have now left scene”.
