A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Moray has been named by police.
Nicky Whyte, from the Huntly area, was struck by a Mini Cooper on the A96 between Keith and Huntly around 2.30am on Monday.
The 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out.
Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Whyte.
“Our investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing and I would ask anyone with information to contact officers on 101.”
