A body has been recovered following a fire in Moray.

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze within a property in Keith’s Union Street at around 3.35pm on Sunday.

On Monday, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The fire was extinguished by the fire service but sadly a body of a person was found within.

“There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
