An Aberdeenshire school has been closed to both staff and pupils after a suspected gas leak was discovered.
The Gordon Schools in Huntly were closed immediately on Wednesday morning following the discovery as a precaution.
The council said that the gas was immediately isolated and engineers are on site to deal with the fault.
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesperson said: “A decision was made to close The Gordon Schools in Huntly this morning after a suspected gas leak was discovered.
“The gas was immediately isolated and as a precaution, the school has been closed for the day.
“Gas engineers are on site and we hope the school can open as normal tomorrow.”
