Part of a major road in Aberdeenshire was closed in the early hours of Tuesday morning following a two vehicle crash.
At around 2.40am on February 21, police received reports of a crash on the A90 between Newburgh and Balmedie in Aberdeenshire involving two vehicles and a herd of cows which had escaped from a nearby farm.
Shortly before 8am the road still remained closed as several of the cows remained on the carriageway.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40am on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 officers received reports of a crash involving two vehicles and cows on the A90 near Balmedie, Aberdeen.
“There were no reported injuries.
“The road was fully reopened around 8am.”
