Concerns growing over welfare of missing Croydon teenager who travelled from London to Aberdeen Police Scotland

Concerns are growing for the welfare of a teenager thought to have travelled to Aberdeen after going missing from his home in London.

Deandre Thompson was last seen in the Union Square area of the city on August 25 – the day after leaving Croydon.

The 15-year-old was known to be in the city centre the following day having travelled the 560 miles by train and is thought to still be in the area.

Officers seeking to trace him have now launched a second appeal over his whereabouts.

Deandre is described as being 5ft 9in in height, slender, with short black hair and a piercing to his left ear.

He was last seen wearing black trousers and a grey Superdry jumper with the word “Apollo” on the front.

Sergeant Stuart Hache said: “Deandre has been missing from his home for some time now and concerns are growing for his welfare.

“I am urging anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.”

He added: “If you can help please call us on 101, quoting reference number 1296 of Saturday, September 3.”
