Missing schoolboy, 11, found ‘safe and well’ after search

A search was launched after the boy disappeared in the north east of Scotland on Monday.

An 11-year-old boy who went missing in the north east of Scotland has been found “safe and well”.

The youngster was last seen leaving his house in Lossiemouth at around 8.30am on Monday morning.

Police said they believed he was walking to school when they appealed for information about his whereabouts.

A Police Scotland spokesperson later confirmed he had been “traced safe and well”.

They added: “We would like to thank those who assisted with sharing our appeal.”
