A bomb squad sealed off part of a Dundee street for seven hours as they carried out a controlled explosion.
Police were called to the Thornton Road area of Kirkton on Thursday morning after pyrotechnics were found in a property.
Neighbours were warned to stay inside and close doors and windows during the explosion.
Officers said the incident, which happened around 11.15am, posed no risk to members of the public.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a report of unexploded pyrotechnics being found in a property in the Thornton Road area of Kirkton, Dundee, at around 11.15am on Thursday.
“Explosive Ordinance Disposal team attended and carried out a controlled explosion. There was no risk to the public.”
